LAKEPORT, Calif. — Mary Jayne Fisk was born on March 16, 1921, and passed away peacefully on Dec. 21, 2023, at Rocky Point Care Home in Lakeport at the wise age of 102.

Mary Jayne's father’s family was originally from Ireland, came down through Canada and settled in Northern California. Her mom’s family came from Virginia. She had three brothers and she was the last of her family living. She grew up in Northern California and lived there her whole life and loved it very much, a true Californian.

Mary Jayne had four children, Jackson Joseph Hanson, Daniel Clark Hanson, Laurel Ann Hanson and Patrick Kirk Hanson. Her husband and the father of her children, Dan Hanson, died as a young man in a tragic plane crash.

In true fashion a woman with grit and the support of her family she carried on. She later remarried Clifford Fisk, the only gramp any of her grandchildren knew. We all loved and adored them both.

She was an amazing mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. We all love her and will miss her very much.

Mary Jayne leaves behind three children, Jack Hanson, Daniel Hanson, and Laurel Young; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband, Clifford; son, Patrick; and her great-granddaughter, Mary Jayne.

Funeral service will be held at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary in Lakeport on Wednesday, Jan. 3, at 11 a.m. There will be a luncheon following the service at 2298 Hendricks Road in Lakeport (Scott's Valley Women's Club).

Internment will be at Upper Lake Cemetery on Friday, Jan. 5, at 11 a.m.
