LAKEPORT, Calif. – It's spring, and this friendly male shepherd mix would prefer to be out playing with his new family.
The handsome guy has a short brown coat with white markings.
While he needs leash training, he is very manageable and is learning basic commands, with help from the fact that he his highly food motivated. He saw another dog getting treats for following commands and so figured out he would do the same.
Based on an evaluation by shelter staff, he's considered to be friendly, exuberant and happy, enjoying tummy and body rubs.
He has no issues with food guarding and he allows people to handle his ears, mouth, paws and tail.
Shelter staff said he appears to get along with other dogs, avoided cats when introduced, and also did not react to horses or livestock.
He's in kennel No. 8, ID No. 4560.
