LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Jeanette Anna (Kohl) Vivian passed peacefully from this earth on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at the age of 92.

She was born June 15, 1921, in St. Paul, Minnesota. At 6 months old Jeanette traveled with her family from Minnesota to California, where they settled in Oakland.

Jeanette raised her family in San Leandro, Calif., for more than 40 years. She relocated to Lake County to be with her family in 2006.

She was proceeded in death by husband, Ralph Vivian; father, Joseph Kohl; mother, Rachel (Leuzinger) Kohl; sister, Mabel and her children Buddy, Dickie and Dolly; sister, Millie and husband Floyd; sister, Gert and husband Bob; infant sister, Ana; and sister, Lorraine and husband Joe and their granddaughter Sarah; brother, Philip and wife Anna; brother, Walter and wife Thelma and their sons Raymond and Junior; brother, Earl and wife Angie and their daughter Florine; and brother, Roland (Ole) and wife Francis and their sons Terry and Tommy; best friend, Betty (Marley) Avila; and special friend, Harry Arcado.

Jeanette is survived by daughters, Linda Tellardin (Steven) and Sandra Dixon; granddaughters, Stacey Longoria, Carrie Dixon and Amy Gilbert (Kyle); step-grandson, Michael Tellardin; and great-granddaughters, Sienna Rose Longoria and Lila Jean Gilbert.

She leaves behind scores of nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends, especially those at Lakeview Housing and her Red Hat sisters and dear friend Ann Lind.

We will miss her smiling happy face. She was always kind, always faithful. Her greatest joy was her family and friendships.

Special thanks to Hospice of Lake County, Natalia Cherwin of Three Lakes Assisted Living and her doctors Schweifler and Minotti.

There will be a celebration of her remarkable life on Saturday, Nov. 16, with a rosary at 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, located at 801 N. Main St. in Lakeport, with lunch following directly after.

She was a faithful Catholic all of her life and prayed her rosary every day. Jeanette always said she wanted no flowers at her funeral, just to have Masses said for the repose of her soul.
