KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – Robert E. Kitchen of Kelseyville, born Jan. 24, 1947, and a lifelong resident of Lake County, passed away on Jan. 6, 2021.

Robert, known as Bob by most, is survived by his daughter, Stacy Szlosek, and her two daughters, Kristen and Haley Meaker.

He was in a loving relationship with Dorla Colley for almost 30 years; she predeceased him in 2005.

Through his bond with Dorla and Richard Mills, a lifetime friend, he is remembered fondly by several generations of children within these families as their favorite uncle or loving, patient, gentle grandpa. He will be greatly missed by all.

In his youth, he served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He returned to Lake County after and worked on ranches and in the agricultural industry.

He loved to sing county songs, watch western movies and spend time with friends and family.
