LAKEPORT – A memorial service for Brett Behrens will take Monday.
The service will begin at 6 p.m. at the Lakeport Yacht Club, located on Fifth Street at the boat ramp.
Behrens, 46, of Clearlake, died Dec. 18, 2008. He was a Lake County native.
Bonnie (Burris) Kelly, 62, died unexpectedly May 27, 2009, at Woodland Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 11, 1946, in San Francisco, Bonnie grew up in the Bay Area and was a 1964 graduate of Cappuccino High School in San Bruno.
Before moving to Clearlake, she was a longtime resident of Santa Clara, and worked many years as an administrative assistant for Ford Aerospace.
Bonnie enjoyed taking classes to improve her office skills, and had recently earned her medical transcription certificate. Bonnie was employed as a contract editor working from her home in Clearlake.
Ms. Kelly is survived by her daughter, Christine Flora of Union City; and brother, Andy Burris and wife Julie of Forest Grove, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Elaine Burris.
Private interment will be held at the Lower Lake Cemetery, 9040 Lake St., Lower Lake, Calif.
Assisting the family with funeral arrangements is Evergreen Funeral Service of Woodland.
She attended public school and graduated from Liberty Training High and moved to California in 1946.
She married Jesse Watts in 1948. To this union, two children were born.
The family ran a grocery store in Oakland. She was employed at the United States Postal Service for 21 years in Hayward.
Mother Watts enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She was also fond of exercising and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse.
She leaves to mourn her son, Thurman J. Watts, of Lucerne, and daughter, Sharon M. Roberts and son-in-law Jesse A. Roberts of Vacaville; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives.
Harry Darvishian, a gifted craftsman and artist whose graceful, sometimes quirky but often practical creations delighted family members, neighbors and visitors to his garage workshop, died May 28, 2009, at his home in Kelseyville, Calif., with his wife of 57 years, Maureen, beside him.
He was 87 and had battled emphysema for many years.
A memorial celebration of his life, love and friendship was held June 6.
Although self taught, his talent was recognized early and he considered a career as a graphic artist. But he concluded that “drawing pictures of shoes and underwear” for advertisers was not for him. He enjoyed diverse artistic challenges, something reflected in the eclecticism of his projects.
His work ranged from early American-style furniture to life-sized fabric-on-wood animal sculptures to hand-carved carousel horses prized by collectors. He also fashioned such eye-catching pieces as a miniature pedal-powered Indy racer and a hovercraft. A stickler for detail, he would often spend weeks or months researching the nature of his subjects, such as the physiology of Bengal tigers.
Born Nov. 7, 1922, in Detroit, Mich., Harry joined the United States Navy in 1942. He served in the Pacific throughout World War II aboard the highly decorated destroyer USS Hudson, and was partially deafened in one ear by cannon fire, though few who knew him ever heard him complain of the fact. The ship’s skipper employed his artistic talents by selecting him to paint the various symbols of victory and action on an exhaust funnel.
After the war, Harry moved to Southern California. He had intended to work in the aircraft industry but took a job as a mason, a trade he already knew. Through a friend, he met Maureen Tevis of San Francisco, while she was visiting her sister and brother-in-law. The couple were married March 15, 1952 at the St. Ferdinand Church rectory in San Fernando, Calif., and eventually had two children.
Soon after meeting his wife, Harry became a furniture mover, a job he held for 16 years. In 1968 the family moved to Kelseyville, Calif., where, after working several years as a floor covering installer, he retired from a position as a custodian for the Kelseyville Unified School District.
He leaves his wife Maureen Darvishian; daughter, Lorie Cole; son-in-law, William Cole; son, Dan Darvishian; and daughter-in-law, Linda Darvishian. He also leaves nieces Penny Foster, Jan Ebert and Pat Skofield, as well as grandsons Brandon and Lucas Cole, their families and numerous other relatives.
He will be dearly missed.
Robert Morse passed on to that spirit in the sky on May 27, 2009.
Born on Oct. 31, 1953, in Bakersfield, Calif., Robert proudly called Lake County his home for the last 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his life partner, Jim Connolly, and their two black labs, Katy and Ubu. He is survived by his parents, Catherine and Stanley Decker; brothers, Stan Jr., David and Christopher; sister, Renee; cousin, Scotty; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Robert had a large circle of friends that he continuously touched the hearts of from before and after he moved to Lake County. He asked that you make a friend smile, love harder and make a stranger laugh.
Services will be performed by Father Leo at St. John’s Episcopal Church located at 1190 N. Forbes in Lakeport on Sunday, June 7, at 1 p.m. Immediately following the services, a celebration of Robert’s life will be held at 8265 Broadview Drive in Kelseyville.

Joanne Victoria (Tynecki) Roman of Clearlake Oaks, Calif., passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2009, after her courageous battle with lung cancer. She was 69 years old.
Joanne, a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend was born in Erie, Penn., on June 29, 1939.
She moved to Sunnyvale, Calif., in 1975 where she raised her two daughters. Joanne later moved to Clearlake Oaks, where she married her best friend, Mike Roman who past away in 2003.
Joanne is survived by her mother, Bertha Tynecki; her two daughters, Cheryl Gauss Williamson (husband Daniel) and Pamela Gauss Betoni (husband James); her five grandchildren, Mark, Ashley, Gianni, Nicolo and Ariana; and her brother, Ray Tynecki.
Joanne loved spending time with her husband, family and friends. She was also an active member of her church, Queen of Peace in Clearlake, widows group and the Moose Lodge. She also enjoyed playing bingo and Bunko with her dear friends. Never did she turn away a friend in need, or not extend a helping hand to anyone who asked. Joanne was a great woman who will be truly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at the at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, at the Clearlake Oaks Moose Lodge, located at the intersection of Highway 20 and Highway 53.
