LAKE COUNTY – Local students recently had the chance to watch adult professionals at work as part of the Groundhog Job Shadow Day and Job Shadow Month in February.

Students also had the chance to spend time with local elected officials.

At the Feb. 5 meeting of the Board of Supervisors, high school students accompanied four of the supervisors for the day. Daniel Gildea shadowed Anthony Farrington, Maegan Turner shadowed Ed Robey, Thonyoon Chao shadowed Denise Rushing and Karina Acosta shadowed Rob Brown.

Students from all around the county will be shadowing members of the local workforce throughout the month of February.
