LAKEPORT - Cameron Philips had a dream when he graduated from Clearlake High in Lakeport in 2005. He was going to study Motorcycle Technology in Phoenix, Ariz. He moved there after graduation, and enrolled in his classes.

LAKEPORT - With over $550,000 of construction funding in place, construction planning nearly finalized, memories of a spectacular piano concert under the stars and the ongoing support of our community, the Soper-Reese Fundraising Committee is celebrating its successes of 2006 and looking ahead to a busy and productive 2007.

LAKEPORT – A former Lakeport Police officer facing charges of misappropriating government funds was due in court today for his preliminary hearing, but a new motion in the case appears to have delayed the appearance.

SAN FRANCISCO - Pacific Gas and Electric Company has reportedly paid property tax payments totaling nearly $97 million to the 49 counties in which it operates. This amount represents full and timely payment of property taxes due for the period from July 1 to Dec. 31, 2006.

BERKELEY - The first class of inductees into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame was feted during the quarterly luncheon of the Broadcast Legends on Wednesday, December 6, in front of a capacity audience of 125 well-wishers at the Doubletree Hotel on the Berkeley Marina.

That's what California law enforcement calls drunk driving arrests, because over time all of the state's traffic codes covering the illegality have ended with the digit 2. These include 2152, 502, 23102 and the present 23152.
