CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Francis Herbert Fields entered into rest in Clearlake on Friday, April 15, 2016, at the age of 74.

Born in Nebraska City, Nebraska, he had lived in San Francisco and Arizona and was a resident of Lake County for 35 years. Herbert graduated from the University of the Americas in Mexico City, Mexico.

He was a kind and gentle person who lived a simple but academic life.

Herbert was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn H. Fields, and his father F. Herbert Fields, D.O., and is survived by his brother, Joel H. Fields of Portland, Ore. Herbert is also survived by his friend and longtime caregiver, Carol Wallerman.

No services will be held. Arrangements under the care of Jones & Lewis Clear Lake Memorial Chapel.
